BROOKGATE ATTRACTS LEADING GLOBAL CORPORATES TO CB1, CAMBRIDGE
Deloitte, Thales and Carter Jonas sign up at landmark building One The Square
Mixed-use development specialist Brookgate has announced that leading professional services firm Deloitte, global technology leader Thales and property consultancy Carter Jonas are all taking office space at CB1, the vibrant new city quarter being developed around Cambridge station.
• Carter Jonas has secured 6,448 sq ft of space on the ground floor
• Deloitte will occupy 19,000 sq ft of space on the first floor
• Thales will take 27,600 sq ft of space
All three occupiers have signed a 10-year lease. As a result of the deals, and retail units under offer, One The Square, one of the largest speculative developments in Cambridge, is now approaching 50% pre-let, well ahead of completion in November 2016.
Benefitting from large open floorplates, One The Square will deliver over 129,000 sq ft state-of-the-art Grade A office and some 13,000 sq ft retail space and is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for sustainability. At ground level, a mix of shops, cafes and restaurants will front onto Station Square, a new public space and focal point for the city’s new business district.

CB1 is set to provide a significant boost to Cambridge’s economy by creating a thriving gateway to the city and attracting businesses, residents and visitors to the area. CB1 is already home to a growing cluster of global and high growth companies including Microsoft and Mott MacDonald. A total of 570,000 sq ft of high quality office space is being delivered by the scheme.
The mixed-use project will also provide an impressive new gateway to the city with a new transport interchange and concourse at Station Square right outside Cambridge Station, a multi-storey cycle park, bus stops and direct access to the city’s Park and Ride facilities.
