Fronting the new Station Square, the impressive focal point forms a ‘welcome’ to people arriving at Cambridge train station.
One Station Square is the landmark address of the whole development, with a building to match. It had been designed as a modern interpretation of classic design proportions to compliment the Grade-2 listed train station façade.
It is the largest and most prominent space available in the city centre, with 137,000 sq ft of purpose built office space.
The front of the building will face onto a tree-planted square and will be home to shops, cafes and restaurants on the ground floor
Flexible office design
Office space is arranged over five floors with each floor layout designed to be open plan around the central cores, which house the building’s services, such as stairwells, lifts, and toilets.
The design of the building allows for complete flexibility to accommodate either single or multiple occupants and can adapt between open plan or a more collaborative floor layout. The façade design allows for comfort control to prevent solar gain.
The iconic building is designed to fit in with its surroundings forming a notable part of the overall CB1 vision. It has achieved best-in-class Cambridge office accommodation - using modern materials and exceeding Breeam Excellent building and energy efficient ratings.
